How to Explore Career Options
Location: Virtual Event
Are you trying to figure out what you want your career path to be but have no idea where to start? Do you have interests, but aren't sure how you could turn them into a career? In this session, we will discuss:
Tools and resources available through the University Career Center to help you explore and learn more about possible career pathways
Campus resources that can help you further explore majors on campus so that you can make an informed decision in your major choice
Experiences that exist both on-campus and off-campus to help you learn more about potential fields of interest
How you can use what you learn to inform the next steps of your own career journey

All are welcome to come practice, improve, or maintain language skills in a casual setting over coffee and snacks. Every Monday, we open the doors of St. Mary's Hall 4-5.30 PM to welcome people who want to share their language or practice any language that they are learning or have learned. The language tables that are available on a regular basis are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. However, if you would like to practice a language that is not listed here, let us know at languagehouse@umd.edu!

Graduate Student Circle Sessions: Creating Connections and Community

One factor which has helped graduate students be successful in graduate school is connecting with the community and maintaining connections. This session will focus on how to engage in community, resources to make connections and organizations which offer space for graduate students. This is a great opportunity to learn about resources, ask questions, connect with other students and support your wellness.
