Welcome to GRAD 2025!

Graduate Student Government Presents GRAD 2025: Graduate Research Appreciation Day

We are delighted to announce that the Graduate Student Government will be hosting the Graduate Research Appreciation Day (GRAD) on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 in the STAMP Grand Ballroom from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Registration opens at 8:00 am.

GRAD provides an on-campus conference-style venue in which graduate students from all academic backgrounds to showcase their research or work. Participants can receive valuable feedback from faculty and peers, refining their communication skills in the familiar environment of our campus.

Key Highlights:

  • Inclusive Participation: Research, whether completed or in-progress, is welcomed.

  • Presentation Formats: Participants can present their research through PowerPoint presentations (either as a formal presentation or as an extended abstract workshop) or posters.

  • Guidelines: Registered participants will receive detailed presentation guidelines via email (these guidelines can also be found here).

  • Open to Visitors: The conference will be open to visitors, and a detailed itinerary will be published soon.

The top 5 presenters and top 2 posters as reviewed by our judges will win cash prizes!

Registration Deadline: APRIL 5TH, 2025.

Wondering where to park or how to access the internet at UMD?

Parking: Guest parking can be found all across the UMD campus—this handy resource provided by UMD DOTS includes maps to all of the available visitor parking areas, parking rates, instructions on how to reserve a spot, etc. Still have questions? Let us know at gsg-grad@umd.edu.

Internet: Students, faculty, and staff of UMD should be able to acceess the eduroam wifi network campus-wide (and people from insitutions that also use eduroam can use it to log in, too!), while guests and visitors can make use of the UMD Guest wifi network. This UMD Libraries resource page should help answer most questions you might have, but as usual, let us know at gsg-grad@umd.edu if you have any additional questions.

For any additional inquiries about GRAD 2025, please reach out to gsg-grad@umd.edu.

We look forward to your active participation in making GRAD 2025 a resounding success!
